Sabine Breuer on family life and career development

BETWEEN FAMILY
AND RESPONSIBILITY

When Sabine Breuer joined TROX in 2020, she encountered a culture that continues to shape her experience today. Employees often stay with the company for decades. Careers spanning 30 or even 40 years are far from unusual. Collaboration matters more than hierarchy, and success is rarely achieved alone.

That culture was one of the key reasons she chose to join the company. For her, being able to take on responsibility while maintaining a fulfilling family life is essential for long-term growth and development.

Today, she leads a team of eight people. Titles and organisational charts are not what matter most. Leadership begins with people. Different strengths, mutual trust and a shared determination to move things forward are what make successful teamwork possible.

»The reason our products are so good is that we work so well together.«

THE WORK THAT OFTEN GOES UNSEEN

A large part of the work carried out by Sabine Breuer and her team remains largely invisible from the outside.

Across Sales, Service and subsidiaries throughout Europe, the Middle East and Africa, teams coordinate, analyse and continuously improve processes every day. Sharing knowledge. Exchanging experience. Developing solutions together. Ensuring consistent quality.

The objective is not to make every team work in exactly the same way. It is about sharing expertise and establishing common standards. This allows teams around the world to learn from one another more effectively while ensuring customers experience the same reliability, speed and quality from TROX wherever they are.

»AI will play a central role. But what matters is how we use it – and how it adds value for people.«

BREATHING SPACE TO THINK

Most of Sabine Breuer's working days follow a clear structure.

Meetings. Coordination. Project work.

There is little room for interruption in between.

Yet the most valuable ideas often emerge when meetings end and calm returns.

It is not unusual for her to open her laptop again in the evening and continue working on concepts. No meetings. No distractions.

Because collaboration also needs moments of quiet reflection. That is where new ideas emerge. Where there is space to think.

»I go home happy when we make progress as a team and have fun together, when projects make an impact and when we have been able to support TROX subsidiaries«

PEOPLE MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

Technology changes processes. Markets evolve. Expectations continue to grow.

What remains constant are people who take responsibility, share knowledge and work together to find solutions.

That is where Sabine Breuer sees the strength of TROX.

Not in individual roles or departments.

But in teams that support one another, learn from one another and grow together.

»If I can also serve as a role model for young women by showing that career and family are not mutually exclusive, then all the better.«
